Wednesday, November 7, 2018 - Suwanee, GA - CPL, a full-service design firm that has served public and private-sector clients for more than 40 years, is proud to welcome Jennifer Harper, P.E. who joins the civil engineering team in its Suwanee office. Harper will lead the charge as Principal of the firm’s transportation group in Georgia. She will be responsible for client management as well as project delivery from design through construction for a variety of transportation projects.
Harper joins CPL with more than 20 years of transportation engineering experience, most recently serving as Vice President of transportation and infrastructure at Landis Evans + Partners.
In addition to her VP role, Harper’s consulting career encompassed various programs and complex transportation projects for local government, private sector, state and federal agencies. With an unparalleled track record of implementation in the Southeast, she also spent six years as Chief Program Officer for the Perimeter Community Improvement Districts, where she was responsible for the oversight of a multi-million-dollar transportation program.
As an experienced program and project manager, Harper has developed a strong reputation for building and maintaining solid relationships at all levels of local governments, the private sector, and other state and federal agencies.

Harper has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Auburn University and holds professional licensure in the state of Georgia. She has been honored and recognized by several industry organizations and publications including the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), the Parsons Brinckerhoff Atlantic District, and most recently Engineering Georgia’s 2018 list of 100 Influential Women to Know.
Outside the office, Harper is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) and the WTS, where she previously served twelve years on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Chapter. Harper and her husband live in Brookhaven Georgia, where they are raising three children and are very active in their local community.
