Engine manufacturers' new warehouse encompasses 37,000 sq. ft. and stocks more than 7,000 parts
As part of an initiative to enhance and expand the company’s ability to support end users, as well as its distributors and dealers, Perkins has opened a North American Regional Logistics Center (RLC), in Elizabethtown, KY. Part of a strategic partnership with global logistics giants UPS – and based close to its worldwide small parcel air hub – orders can be processed immediately and delivered next day across the whole of the U.S.
The Perkins warehouse encompasses 37,000 sq ft within the larger 400,000-sq.-ft. UPS-SCS multi-client facility. The RLC stocks more than 7,000 parts with more than 30,000 additional parts available from across the Perkins network.
Being close to Louisville Airport – which sees 130 UPS-owned aircraft pass through it every day – as well as major national road networks, the facility is ideally positioned to deliver fast and reliable support to Perkins customers throughout the region.
The center will also support customers in the U.S. who prefer to buy online. They can order direct from Perkins through its recently launched online shop (perkins.com/shop) and benefit from a variety of shipping options, comprising ground, two-day air and next-day air.
